STORM Team

S.T.O.R.M. - Special Team Of Role Models

The STORM Team acts as a stepping stone for students interested in becoming Certified Instructors and Teaching Assistants and is comprised of selected students who help out with classroom management, mentoring, and school activites.

A candidate is recommended by an instructor or current STORM member and makes a valuable commitment to the school by helping and volunteering several times a week. Dedication , comittment, and a love for helping and teaching others is a must!

The requirements for the STORM Team include nominations from a parent, a school teacher and an Instructor, and completion of a community based leadership project. Candidates must be at least a Red Belt and 10 years of age.

STORM Team members must maintain an Honor Roll status to remain on the team and are required to provide 4 hours of service each month via an assigned class and/or mentoring individual students.
